Hike 15 Shoreline Wildlife

Our expert birder will lead us on a leisurely two-mile walk at Shoreline Lake Park to see the summer shorebirds that inhabit the salt marsh, salt ponds, sloughs and mudflats. Event 3 Guadalupe River Cleanup Day

Thursday September 18, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Come show your support for our native fish and keep our drinking water clean by joining this FREE social volunteering event! Six of our drinking water reservoirs are part of Guadalupe Watershed. The watershed also supports warm and cold water native fish such as Pacific lamprey, Chinook salmon, threespine stickleback and prickly sculpin. All activities will be standing up and supplies and tools are provided in addition to snacks, lunch and a bottle of water. This program is hosted in partnership with Valley Water. Day Trip 11 Redwoods & Moonshine Day Trip

We start the day with a shady educational walk along a creek lined with redwoods, ferns and sorrel led by an expert from Save the Redwoods League. After a scrumptious lunch, we take an educational tour of a distillery to learn about how they make their moonshine followed by a tasting. Hike 16 Habitat and Wildlife of Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge

Join us for a leisurely three-mile flat walk out at Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge led by an expert on the habitat and wildlife that lives there. We will learn about the refuge and its history, the endangered species it protects including birds and native plants and identify the different habitats we see. Finally, we will discuss actions we can all take to protect these habitats through watershed protection. Afterwards, we enjoy a picnic lunch. This special program is supported by Valley Water.
