Guadalupe River Birding and Native Plants Walk

Join us for a leisurely, 2.5-mile, one-way walk led by a Naturalist along the Guadalupe River, a significant migratory flyway for birds. We will start in Alviso and walk to the Ulistac Natural Area, the only dedicated natural open space in the City of Santa Clara. During the walk, we will learn about the importance of riparian corridors as vital habitats that provide essential resources for birds and other wildlife. Our Naturalist will discuss the native plants we encounter during the fall and the specific habitats where these plants thrive in the park. After we stroll along the Guadalupe River, we will also have the opportunity to explore the garden. We will conclude the day with a social picnic lunch. This special program is hosted in partnership with Valley Water. Transportation and picnic lunch are included.
