Wintering Birds of Palo Alto Baylands (Mountain View)

At almost 2000-acres, Palo Alto Baylands is one of the largest tracts of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay. This unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats is home to a diverse group of resident and migratory birds that stopover on the Pacific Flyway. We will learn about the birds and listen to bird haiku from a distinguished Haiku poet, as we travel along the marsh, pass the duck pond and San Francisco Creek and head out to the edge of the Bay.
