California Wine History Walk

On this clear, crisp fall day, we enjoyed a peaceful journey through four miles of the Picchetti Ranch Preserve. We walked on shady trails lush with ferns, large Oak, California Bay trees and Madrones, which led to views of Stevens Creek Reservoir and the Fremont Older Preserve hillside to the east. After passing an old Apricot, Plum, and Pear orchard and a petite pond, we reached the historic Picchetti winery where we socialized and ate a leisurely lunch before our gradual downhill return trip.
