Wintering Birds of Palo Alto Baylands

Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve is unique mixture of tidal and freshwater habitats home to a diverse group of resident and migratory birds that stopover on the Pacific Flyway. We learned about and heard birds songs and calls, and listened to bird haiku from a distinguished Haiku poet, as we traveled along the trails. Thank you to Supervisor Otto Lee and the other Santa Clara County Supervisors for their support of this hike.
