History, Birds & Smelly Plants of Ravenswood Preserve
Perched on the western shores of the San Francisco Bay in East Palo Alto, Ravenswood preserve features raised redwood boardwalks and observation decks for easy viewing of sensitive wetlands, bird watching or watching the tide roll away. We took a leisurely journey out on the easy access levee trails and wildlife viewing decks for an up-close view of the native plants and birds found in the restored tidal marsh wetlands and shoreline. Afterwards, we enjoyed a social picnic lunch by the shoreline with views of the bay. Thank you to Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District for supporting this educational program!
