Blue Pygmy Butterfly Walk

We traveled to Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge in San Jose to look for the smallest butterfly in the world: the California Blue Pygmy Butterfly. November is the start of their breeding season and this wildlife refuge has pickleweed and other alkaline plants that the adults feed and lay their eggs on.
