Don Edwards Wildlife Restoration Volunteer Day

On this beautiful late September day, BAOers helped Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge weed and mulch to preserve the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge, an important wildlife ecosystem. All volunteering activities were primarily standing up. Genie Moore, the West Coast Director of the Environmental Education Center, taught us about the Don Edwards restoration project, one of the largest restoration projects in the country so we understood the significance of our volunteering efforts. After all of our productive work, we ended with a social picnic lunch by the Artesian slough. Thank you to Santa Clara Valley Water District for their support of this important event!
