Wildflower Walk at Rancho San Vicente

We had a perfect day for a Spring Wildflower Hike at Ranch San Vicente, a former 966-acre rancho, is a new part of Calero County Park that just opened in April. The park’s serpentine rocks (the state rock of California) produce calcium-rich soil that create stunning displays of yellow, orange, blue, purple and red native wildflowers such as shooting stars, elegant brodiaea, owl’s clover, cream cups, red maids, sky lupines, golden yarrow, bluedicks and more. Our hike was led by a wildflower expert.
