Guadalupe Community Garden
San Jose has 19 community gardens that are managed by volunteers . Gardeners grow everything organically, from vegetables and herbs to flowers and fruit. The Guadalupe Garden is one acre in size and has 29 regular plots (20 ft x 20 ft and some 15 ft x 20 ft) and 4 accessible raised beds. There is a shade structure, picnic tables, barbeque, compost bins, tool shed, and a sink for washing produce. There are restrooms available in nearby in Columbus Park. Please note, there is an application process and typically a waiting list for some of the gardens.
Requirements
Anyone age 18 or older who lives in the City of San Jose may participate in the Community Gardens Program.
