California Shakespeare Theatre

Their mission is to make "boldly imagined and deeply entertaining interpretations of Shakespeare and the classics."  This is an outdoor theatre based in Siesta Valley between Berkeley and Orinda.  The grounds open two hours before curtain and food and beverage are available on site for picnics in the grove. 

Requirements

For evening shows, dress warmly since it can be cold.  They provide complimentary blankets.  For matinees on sunny days, wear sunscreen and a hat.

Disabled Access

Wheelchair accessible seating and restrooms are available. There are handicapped parking spaces and the shuttle is equipped with a wheelchair lift. Audio enhancement devices are available for the hearing impaired.

If you take the BART to Orinda, they have a complimentary free shuttle that will pick you up and bring you back.   The shuttle starts running 90 minutes before show time and does pick ups every 15 minutes. There is free on site parking.
