JustREAD and JustMATH
JustREAD and JustMATH provides one-on-one tutoring in literacy and math to elementary, middle, and high school students at several public schools in Mountain View, CA. They serve students who are struggling to master elementary and middle school math and reading skills. Their students thrive on the personalized attention to their academic needs and a structured tutoring environment. They are looking for friendly, caring and dedicated volunteers with a desire to help local kids. There is especially a need for tutors to work one on one with 4th & 5th grade students who are below grade level in math.
Requirements
No prior experience is necessary. Tutors are required to attend an orientation and will receive training and on-going support from a Site Coordinator or teacher in the classroom. They request a minimum commitment of one hour per week between 9 AM and 2:30 PM during the school year. Background checks and fingerprinting are required.
Schedule
One hour minimum per week between 9 AM and 2:30 PM during school year. There may be after school hours depending on program.
