I have been on the Limekiln, Priest Rock and Kennedy Trails up to Mt El Sombroso (3000 feet). The trails start near Lexington Reservoir County Park but within one mile enter into Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. It is a grueling steep hike and fully exposed to the sun most of the way so start early, bring lots of water, food and make sure you are in shape for it. There is an option to turn around at the first intersection with Limekiln and Priest Rock to do a 5 mile loop rather than the 11+ mile loop if you realize it is too much. Also watch out for the dirt/dust as some people are allergic to it when it gets on your skin.
