Persons age 50 and over can become members for free by registering at the front desk. There are quality programs, classes and services seven days a week with a fee for some classes, while others are provided free of charge. Arts and crafts classes include cardmaking and stamping, drawing and painting, stained glass, creative writing, knitting and crocheting, needlecraft and sewing, ceramics and quilting. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 to 3:30 pm.

PhotoCentral Gallery (Hayward)
PhotoCentral was founded in 1983 by Geir and Kate Jordahl. For the past twenty three years, PhotoCentral has developed into a community program for photographers to grow, explore and enjoy the company of other photographers. Classes and workshops are designed for photographers of all abilities and ages and are appropriate to both traditional and digital imagemakers. The instructors and assistants represent a broad range of talents and photographic interests.
