Avenidas Senior Center (Palo Alto)

Volunteer opportunities include providing transportation and teaching computer classes. Also volunteer at Rose Kleiner Senior Day Health Center by keeping seniors company and participating in activities such as arts and crafts, socializing, gardening, individual activities (such as board games and puzzles), walking partners. reading aloud and computer assistance.

Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (San Jose)

Drive homebound older adults to medical appointments or to the grocery store, remaining with them during their appointment or grocery shopping, and then driving them back to their home. It is an opportunity for socialization for a senior who may otherwise be homebound. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (San Jose)

Friendly visitors program is dedicating one hour per week to visiting one senior living in a long term care facility. These visits help reduce the residents feelings of loneliness and improve the quality of f their lives.

Engage As You Age (South Bay Region)

Volunteering opportunities include visiting a homebound older adult and sharing your hobbies and expertise with them.  They match you with an older adult of similar interest. 

Meals On Wheels Health Trust (South Bay Region)

Volunteers are needed throughout Santa Clara County to provide nutritious home delivered meals and companionship to seniors and other homebound adults.

Partners in Caring (South Bay Region)

The goal of Partners in Caring, a program of the Aging Adult Services at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, is to improve the lives of older adults by helping them to stay independent. Volunteers help homebound seniors by providing nonmedical, practical assistance, transportation to medical appointments, friendly visiting, light meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping assistance and caregiver relief. The area serviced is from Redwood City to Los Altos.

Saratoga Senior Center (Saratoga)

Volunteer to assist seniors in learning how to use computers, setting up computers at their homes, help with special events and help set up, serve and clean up lunch.
