Summer Birding Walk
Baylands Preserve is one of the largest tracts of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay and one of the best places to birdwatch on the west coast. This morning we enjoyed a leisurely, flat walk along Charleston and Mayfield Sloughs and Adobe Creek with a birding specialist. We saw summer birds such as white pelicans, black-crowned night herons, egrets, terns and a variety of colorful ducks and swallows. Lastly, we enjoyed a picnic lunch. This special program is hosted in partnership with Valley Water. Thank you to Kan Wong for the photos!
