Ballroom Dance Club at SJSU (San Jose)

There are beginning and intermediate lessons with two sessions of lessons and then open dancing after the second lesson. An SJSU or local dance studio instructor teaches the lessons.  Lessons are each 45 minutes and open dancing is for 45 minutes.

Company C Contemporary Ballet (Mountain View)

This contemporary ballet company is led by founder and Artistic Director Charles Anderson, a former member of the New York City Ballet. Performance locations vary and are in Mountain View, Walnut Creek and San Francisco.

Cupertino Senior Center (Cupertino)

The Cupertino Sports Center hosts yoga, Qigong and dance classes as well as 17 tennis courts, a fitness center, 2 racquetball courts, complete locker room facilities.

High Release Dance (South Bay Region)

They were founded in 1994 by a group of modern dancers that work in a collaborative environment. Their work spans a variety of dance styles from highly abstract modern to jazz, lyrical movement poems, improvisations, and theatrical works. In addition the mood ranges from serious to humorous. Performance locations are all over the Bay Area.

Huckabay McAllister Dance (South Bay Region)

This is a San Francisco based dance and theatre company, established in 1993 by Co Directors Jenny McAllister and Emma Lou Huckabay (now retired). They have been producing full evening works in fall seasons in San Francisco since 1995, as well as performing in other lcoations throughout the Bay Area. The performances are a unique combination of modern dance and humor.

India Community Center (Milpitas)

The Center offers introduction to Indian dance and Bollywood dance classes.

Los Gatos Saratoga Recreation (Los Gatos)

MACLA (San Jose)

MACLA or Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana is an inclusive contemporary arts space grounded in the Chicano and Latino experience They provide Aztec dance and Ballet Folklorico classes. All ages are welcome.

Mountain View and Los Altos Adult Education (Mountain View)

They offer a variety of dance classes including ballet, ballroom, flowing movement, salsa and zumba. Be sure to look for classes designed as adults age 55 or older and register using the supplied form. Register in person or online.

Mountain View Senior Center (Mountain View)

The Mountain View Senior Center offers free Chinese folk dance, square dance, line dance and social dance classes.

Santa Clara Adult Education (Santa Clara)

They offer classes in international folk dance, latin, salsa, country western, belly dance and zumba.

Santa Clara Senior Center (Santa Clara)

This is a social ballroom dance program twice per week with a one hour dance lesson followed by 3 hours of open ballroom dancing. All levels of dancers are welcome.  Dance music is provided by either live bands or DJ’s depending on the everning. Complimentary coat check and refreshments are provided.

Saratoga Senior Center (Saratoga)
