Full Review: Cupertino Senior Center

The Cupertino Senior Center sits alongside a park with a pond frequented by birds where you can read and peacefully soak up the sun.  They have a large parking lot with most of the spaces dedicated to senior center members so be careful where you park if you are not a member.   There is outdoor seating with tables on which you can play chess and checkers.

The Cupertino Senior Center offers many classes including art, music, dance classes, mediation, martial arts and yoga.  They offer Feldenkrais and Puti classes.  Feldenkrais is a form of meditation and movement and is described as “awareness through movement”.   The goal is to explore precisely structured movements involving thinking, sensing moving and imaging.  Some scientific studies suggest that it can reduce chronic pain.  Similarly, Puti or Bodhi meditation allows your mind to help heal your body thus having both physical and psychological health benefits.
