Avenidas Senior Center (Palo Alto)

They offer classes in different types of painting, mixed media, needlework and creative writing.  Classes range from 8 to 12 weeks and meet once per week for one to two hours.  Register for classes online.

Barbara Lee Senior Center (Milpitas)

The center has oil painting, Chinese brush painting, calligraphy classes and a crochet and knitting group (free).

California Academy (San Jose)

Classes cover fresh and dry flower arrangements.

Cupertino Senior Center (Cupertino)

They have fine art and crafts classes like Chinese brush painting and photo editing. Register for classes in person, by calling or emailing.

Los Altos Senior Center (Los Altos)

It has free access to an art studio.

Los Gatos Saratoga Recreation (Los Gatos)

They offer art workshops, crochet and knitting, creative writing, watercolor, calligraphy,drawing, stained glass, photography, jewerly making, and playreading classes.

Mountain View and Los Altos Adult Education (Mountain View)

They offer a variety of art classes including ceramics, flower arrangement, calligraphy, art history, drawing, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, creative writing, memoir writing, digital photography, needlework and sewing. Be sure to look for classes designed as adults age 55 or older and register using the supplied form.

Mountain View Senior Center (Mountain View)

The Mountain View Senior Center offers a variety of art classes including calligraphy, ceramics, creative stitchery, drawing, watercolor, knitting and crocheting, oils and acrylics, quilt making and wood carving.

Palo Alto Art Center (Palo Alto)

The Palo Alto Arts Center supports art education programs and adult studio art classes. Please call for more information.

Santa Clara Adult Education (Santa Clara)

They offer classes in clay, drawing, woodworking, painting, watercolor, crocheting, knitting, sewing and quilting.

Saratoga Senior Center (Saratoga)

They offer a free quilting group and memoir writing.

Sunnyvale Senior Center (Sunnyvale)

The center has ceramic and other art classes as well as an open pottery studio.

The Lace Museum and Guild (Sunnyvale)

This museum has lace making workshops throughout the year. There are also lace making classes that are by appointment only and can accomodate your schedule.

Triton Museum of Art (Santa Clara)

The Triton Museum of Art offers a variety of classes such as watercolor, drawing and pastels. Please refer to current schedule for specific classes, dates, times, fees and how to register.
